SJ van der Merwe A beat Noorderland A to win the first Royal Debating Tournament.

Motions:
1. THW introduce child curfews.
2. THB in zero tolerance policing.
Semi-Finals:  THB in single-sex education.
Finals: TH rejects Walmart's acquisition of Mass Mart.
