As communicated to you, we would like to start the debating tournament as early as possible in the new school year; therefore registration should take place without any delay.
Please take note of the following:
- Registration fee will be R200 for 2011
- If you have more than 20 learners interested in taking part, consider to register two teams: an experienced and inexperienced team for newcomers to become familiar with rules and research. New teams will compete against each other.
- You can start registering immediately until 21 January 2011 after which the schedule will be fixed and no new teams will be accommodated.
- We plan to have a training workshop and planning meeting for all participating team coaches on Wednesday, 26 January 2011 at 14:30 venue Library Auditorium. Please reserve that date for this purpose. At this occasion debating dates and topics will be discussed and finalized. Please come with suggestions for debating topics – we want all to be involved in determining suitable and challenging topics. Exact details will follow closer to the date.
