Applications for the National Head Coach 2012-2013

Dear all,

This is a call for applicants for the position of the National Coach

for WSDC 2013 in Antalya, Turkey.

The National Coach will be responsible for training the South African

Schools Debating Team for all tournaments that fall within the 2012

calendar year and WSDC 2013. In addition, the National Head Coach

shall provide leadership to the Board and the South African debating

community on issues pertaining to the activity of debating, and

shall:

(i) seek to improve the standard of coaching materials in South

Africa;

(ii) serve as the Coach for the SASDB at any international

competitions;

(iii) be responsible for spreading debating within the country.

Applicants are required to submit:

1) A CV and brief motivation;

2) A coaching plan outlining their ideas for training sessions, etc.

The deadline for applications is: Thursday the 16th of February.

In addition, please be aware of the following commitment. National Trials will be held in

Johannesburg from 06 April – 09 April 2012, with selectors arriving

the evening of Thursday the 5th April and departing on the

afternoon/evening of Monday the 9th April.
